About Me
Hello, I’m Yve Want, a qualified and experienced Primary School Teacher specialising in KS2 learning. I have supported children across a wide range of abilities and learning needs, from Reception through to Year 6 with my favourite subject being maths!
My approach is:

I believe every child deserves to feel capable and proud of their progress — and I’m here to help make that happen.
A Little More About Me
Having spent many years working with primary-aged children, I understand that every child learns differently. My tutoring is therefore tailored to the individual, creating a calm, supportive environment where children can ask questions, make mistakes, build confidence and progress at their own pace.
But there’s more to me than teaching!
I’m also a proud mum to two teenage boys and live in the lovely Rutland village of Langham. Being a parent myself has given me another perspective on the ups, downs and occasional challenges of school life — as well as plenty of experience being a taxi driver for teenagers!
When I’m not teaching, you’ll often find me out walking with Pippa, my wonderfully crazy ginger dog. She absolutely loves the beach and will take every opportunity she gets to go for a swim.
I love being outdoors, going on adventures and camping with my family. We’re also big fans of games nights, plenty of laughter and generally being a little bit silly together. When I’m not doing all of that, I enjoy making cakes and watching rugby.
I bring that same sense of fun, creativity and enthusiasm into my tutoring. Learning matters, but I believe children are far more likely to engage and make progress when they feel relaxed, understood and are actually enjoying themselves.
That’s what I want every child who comes to Want Tutoring to experience.
